I feel like its always November when this time of the semester strikes... Tis the season!

Well despite the fact that I despise this time of the year and feel like I deserve three massages a day, I have still compiled a little list of my goals for the rest of the semester. For some reason writing them out makes them easier to carry out than just thinking about them. SO, here we go!

1. I disappointed myself by opting to drop out of News Writing last week, and officially have one of those ugly W's sitting on my transcript that I never thought I would have. Being down to a ridiculous 12 hours, I'm deciding right now that I'm only accepting 1 B this semester.

2. With the holidays coming up, I have already decided what I'm getting my family and I want to have both gifts paid for by... Thanksgiving!

3. I adore Tech Athletics and I intern with their marketing offices. For the rest of the semester I'm giving them my all, right behind school business. It's the sports world that I am so crazy about and I've realized that if I want to be part of this incredibly competitive industry, I have to climb that ladder and give it 120%. Right now.

"She turned her cant's into can's, and her dreams into plans."

xox linds

Summer Realizations

So I do most of my best thinking late at night or early in the morning, however you want to look at it. And honestly, I've been really appreciative for things I normally don't even think twice about. So while this may be the most cliche, overdone blog post ever, just bear with me and give me a few minutes to unleash my gratitude towards the little things.

1. If you have even just one childhood friend who you can call for anything at any given hour, consider yoruself blessed. I say childhood friend because let's be real, what's better than talking to a friend who knows your story? One who truly knows who you are and where you came from? I find the dear friends I grew up with are priceless and I love them with all my heart.

2. My family is my backbone. Enough said.

3. Life isn't just going to happen to you. Do you know how many people plan and plan and plan without ever putting these plans into action? Without execution, a to-do list is still just a piece of paper.

4. With that last realization said, planning too much can take over the present. I'm a big dreamer and I love thinking about the future all the time. But life is too short to live ahead of yourself. Enjoy the here and the now. As Mark Twain said, "Explore. Dream. Discover."

5. No matter how much traveling you do, what kind of cities you visit or how many majestic oceans you see, there is only one "home." And it's probably where it's always been.

"Life is either a daring adventur or nothing at all." -Helen Keller

xoxo
Linds
